Snow

On Sunday we headed to near by mountains to visit the snow we had been feeling in the air for the past few weeks. We took our 4x4 and went with in a bit of a convoy with three other 4x4's full of great friends and their children.

As you can see the snow isn't exactly knee deep but there was enough to have a play in and more than enough for some serious snow ball making. We had a toboggan, body boards, shovels, bucket and plenty of carrots for snow man making.

We enjoyed a nice warm lunch in front of a lovely open wood fire at The Great Lake hotel and after, rugged up to find some good tobogganing hills. The day was lovely and clear, but would change within seconds with snow falling thick and fast, I can't remember the last time I had seen the snow falling, it was so beautiful and the children were amazed, running around with their mouths open to try and have a taste.

By the end of the day we were all exhausted and ready for bed. It was a fantastic day in the snow for the children big and small. In fact I think the big ones had a touch more fun.
