Kalgoorlie

My husband Tom works in Kalgoorlie in Western Australia which is about a 6 hrs flight from where we live in Tasmania.
He works two weeks on and one week off, he flys home on his week off which means after taking out 2 days for travel we spend 5 days with him in his off time.
We are so lucky he has made the huge move to work interstate to give our young family a head start in life. He misses out on a lot and we are grateful he works very long hours far away, so we can have a nice life.
As he works away I am, of course, very busy with all the children, it is non stop all the time and I feel like I need six arms and eyes in the back of my head!
Being so busy all the time is great as I don't have much time to miss Tom, or get lonely with out him home.
He works very long shifts so if we are lucky we are able to talk to him early in the morning or in the evening he has about 20 minutes after knock off before he needs to go have dinner, and shower, do washing etc. So we cherish his week off.
