"Show day is grow day", Is what I have heard the oldies say a million times, planting your tomatoes on show day is meant to be the perfect time of year and they wont be harmed from frost.
We are a week late but never the less we planted our little tomato plants this morning. Earlier in the week we had decorated some sticks with cotton to be made into some colourful stakes for our tomatoes to climb.
