Piñata

 We have Poppy's 5th birthday coming up (wasn't she born just a minute ago?) So she is inviting her friends over to have a Princess Tea Party, I figured if you can't go all out in pink and glitter for your 5th birthday then when can you?

We have been working on a piñata for decoration, and for a fun game, so I thought I would share with you...

Find some cardboard boxes, an old doona box and some nappy boxes did the trick for me, make a paper template and use it to trace and cut out your numbers of choice.

 Using lots of tape and some smaller pieces of card board tape the numbers together to make a 3D number, remember to leave a hole to fill the piñata with goodies.

 Slowly but surely tape on some fringed crepe paper strips.

 Fill your piñata with goodies, in this case princess crowns, bracelets, hair clips and a few individually wrapped lollies.

 A pretty piñata in the party colours ready to be smashed open by nine 5 year olds!!
