Wednesday

On Tuesday night I realised that I didn't really have anything 'extra' to do the next day, no doctors, dentists or speech therapy appointments, no pre-kinder or care for the twins, no play dates or playgroups. 

Now there is always plenty I can do around home, and I have a list as long as my arm of jobs I need to do in town but I thought I would make the most of this opportunity and take the twins on a little adventure.

Next year they start Kinder and from then on our time together becomes less and less.

We started at an old railway yard in our city, looking at the old trains, taking photos, exploring a new boardwalk and climbing on the sculptures.

I then told my delighted two that we were going to head off on the free bus to do a loop of town, they couldn't contain their excitement and took in the whole experience with a smile on their faces.

After the loop around town we then went to the local museum, and checked out the dinosaurs and other animals and then to the interactive section.  

It was amazing to see how much they enjoyed the exhibits, as I had taken them to the museum a few months ago and their interest level then was non existent. 

I will be sure to make more time for more little adventures like this before the year is out, perhaps next time we will get off the free bus and have a picnic in the park before hopping back on.
