Intercontinental Bali Resort

While in Bali we had the amazing opportunity to stay at the Intercontinental Bali Resort as one of their Club guests.

The Intercontinental Bali Resort is located in the stunning Jimbaran Bay, and for our complete stay at the Intercontinental we didn't leave the resort the whole time, why would we? With over 6 pools, four restaurants, two spas, a kids club and even more privileges that come with being a club guest, there is no reason you would want to leave.

From the moment you check in, as a club guest we were taken to the private club lounge, where all the work of checking in, was done for us while we sat back and relaxed with drinks. Then we were taken to the resorts private club wing where our personal butler showed us our gorgeous suite, and all it's amenities. Every corner of our club room was impeccable, from the tropical fruit basket, to the fully stocked kitchenette, top of the line coffee machine, complimentary robes, slips and the luxury toiletries.

Our first stop was of course one of the resorts many pools, there is a club guests only pool with private cabanas and private bar we used lots of an afternoon but our first stop was to one of it's family friendly pools with amazing waterfalls and sculptures to play in and around. Poppy and Tom swam for hours while I enjoyed the cocktail service right to our cabana and catching up with the family back home on the resorts free WiFi.

On the way back to our room we stopped to check out the Planet Trekkers kids club to see if Poppy might like to go for a play the next day so Tom and I could enjoy some time in one of the resorts spas. The kids club was amazing, a huge playgroup, shallow pool, computers, crafts, toys, quiet corner and an itinerary of activities which included Balinese dancing, yoga, water volleyball and Balinese offering making, which took Poppy's fancy.

While at the Intercontinental we took advantage of all the perks, we ate at the amazing restaurants including a theatrical eight course teppanyaki dinner at the superb KO, got up early and joined in tranquil yoga on the perfectly manicured lawns, sipped on fruity cocktails while watching the stunning sunset over Jimbaran bay, ate the freshest seafood we watched come off the boats just an hour before, and enjoyed amazing packages at Spa Uluwatu.

Spending a few days at the Intercontinental Bali Resort was the perfect way to end our holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and our busy lives in general. I could not fault this impeccable resort and it's lovely friendly staff. I would highly recommend this stunning resort for a romantic getaway with your loved one or to take the whole family and make the most of their large range of amenities.

We look forward to heading back to Bali in the near future and bringing more of our family to experience the Intercontinental Bali Resort.
