Tree falling

We had the tree faller come out to fall some huge old dead trees on the weekend. 

 

The children watched from the safety of the car.

How exciting, to see these giants fall with a loud smack to the ground, echoing in the bush around.

After he fell about eight of these huge beasts, we spent the morning chopping, and stacking wood to keep us warm for the next few weeks, while the children played in the trees, collecting nature and building tree houses.

A lovely Saturday morning.
