Ice Eggs

Recently I made some "Ice Eggs'' for Poppy to play with, I had planned to bring them out on a sunny day for an activity on the grass and they would slowly melt in the sun but I had trouble getting her to have a bath one night so I made her an offer she couldn't refuse and she played with them in the bath.

They are so easy to make, put bits and pieces into balloons (I used small toy animals, glitter, sequins  and food dye), add water, tie to tops and freeze over night, then just peel the balloons off and you have ice eggs.

They were great to slowly melt and discover what treat was inside  but I wouldn't use the glitter in the bath again as it looked like a family of unicorns had, had a party in the bathroom and Poppy was covered in glitter for days after.
